Handmade in Concord, MA by Maggie Stern, these soft navy blue socks feature Annie Oakley holding her gun. Part of Maggie Stern's collection of folk art socks featuring strong women, the words "Aim High" adorn the soles of the socks. Born into extreme poverty in 1860 rural Ohio, Annie hunted and trapped to help feed her family but rose to fame at age 15 as a sharpshooter able to shoot a cigar out of a man's mouth at 30 paces, among other feats. She went on to an extremely successful lifelong career touring with Buffalo Bill, an acting company depicting her own life, and eventually teaching other women how to shoot.
